Not Just Houses, but Homes

Santa Monica always has made it a priority to provide a secure home setting where residents feel safe to focus on their recovery. Rather than an institutional environment, our family-style approach to living, healing, and recovery encourages residents to be good friends and neighbors.

Halfway House

The Halfway House is a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited long-term residential treatment program focused on preparing women to reintegrate into the community. The program provides programming that is critical to a woman’s recovery. Licensed clinicians provide one-on-one therapy and group sessions. After the initial orientation period, we empower women to find employment to strengthen their abilities. The Halfway House is supervised around the clock by professional and highly-trained staff.

Three Quarter House

A step-down level of care from the Halfway House, this program includes a rigorous aftercare program. The minimum required stay is 3 months, but the average stay in 2020 was 5 months. Women maintain employment and demonstrate their ability to utilize tools gained in the Halfway House program in their daily lives. Women are allowed to exercise more freedom while still being supported under our umbrella of care. When possible, women at the 3/4 House may have their children live with them during their stay. An on-site, live-in House Manager supervises the program.

Supported Transitional Living

The Supported Transitional Living Apartments are the next step down level of care from the 3/4 House and the final step for women before they venture into independent living. Here, women continue to participate in aftercare programming, in addition to healthy recovery-oriented activities. The program has a one-year minimum requirement, and the women must maintain employment. Women and their children are housed in a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment and supported by a live-in Resident Manager. Transitional living offers a safe place while women work to find their place in the community.

Intermediate Residential Program

Recently opened in December of 2021, the Intermediate Residential Program fulfills our vision for Santa Monica – for now. It is a 90 day primary care treatment experience that will provide an unduplicated service to the Omaha area. Services at this level will focus on stabilization physically, emotionally, socially and mentally through individual therapies, group therapy and a foundation of health support.
