Santa Monica receives a significant portion of its funding from the state which supports the day-to-day operation of the house. However, it is the generous contributions from members of the community that have helped grow the program.

There are needs to expand the treatment program and complete house renovations. The generous donations of money and in-kind services are needed to allowed Santa Monica to reach-out and serve more members of the community. Caring citizens of the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area are helping make a difference through their support.

Wish List – Personal Hygiene (soap, shampoo, conditioner, feminine products, etc.)

Cleaning supplies, Laundry detergent, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels). Non perishable food items. Towels and bedding. Books from the Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous (Big Book, 12 By 12, meditation books).

What your generous contributions can do –

* Your $50.00 donation could sponsor a women's transportation to and from work for an entire month. Often women have little or no outside support. Seeking and maintaining employment requires the use of the public transportation system. Just $50.00 will allow them access to a bus pass good for an entire month!

* Clothing donations assist the women in dressing to impress! Many of our women come to us with nothing but what they have on. Daily living and job searches require the ability to dress to impress! Your donations of gently used items are beneficial to all our women. You can call to make arrangements to drop off clothing or household items!!

* Santa Monica is a community living environment. The women work together to plan and prep for meals. Santa Monica utilizes the Nebraska Food Bank to aid in obtaining nutritious items for the women. Because we all work together $200.00 will contribute to food costs for the whole month!
